Unibank has joined the 2025 fundraising campaign of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund and donated AMD 10 million to the reconstruction project of the Spandaryan canal in Syunik.
The donation made by the bank will be directed toward restoring the damaged parts of the Spandaryan water canal, which will make it possible to rehabilitate the irrigation system and ensure access to water for several communities in Syunik Province.
The initiative to reconstruct the Spandaryan water canal was launched by the Hayastan All Armenian Fund, taking into account that the water canal is currently up to 70% damaged, as a result of which a number of settlements in Syunik have been deprived of irrigation water.
The project aims to ensure water security, stimulate agricultural production, and create sustainable economic development conditions in the region.
The Spandaryan water canal reconstruction project is being implemented within the framework of the “Homeland and Eternity” campaign. As a result of the project, 730 families (4,320 residents) in Sarnakunk, Ishkhanasar, Tsghuk, Spandaryan, Angeghakot, and Shaki will become direct beneficiaries, while approximately 2,800 hectares of land will be provided with efficient irrigation.
Within the framework of its corporate social responsibility, Unibank will continue to support projects of national importance, contributing to Armenia’s economic and social development.
The bank is regulated by the Central Bank of Armenia.
